Ngày 6/9, ông Mai Văn Huỳnh, Phó Bí thư Thường trực Tỉnh uỷ, Chủ tịch HĐND tỉnh Kiên Giang đã đến thăm, tặng quà cho các em học sinh nghèo tại Trường THCS và THPT Mong Thọ (xã Mong Thọ, huyện Châu Thành) trước thềm năm học mới 2022 – 2023.Tại buổi làm việc, đại diện Ban Giám hiệu Trường THCS và THPT Mong Thọ cho biết, năm học 2021 – 2022, học sinh có học lực từ trung bình trở lên tăng 2% so với học kỳ trước, không có học sinh học lực yếu kém hạnh kiểm yếu.
Trường THCS và THPT Mong Thọ có tỷ lệ học sinh tốt nghiệp THCS đạt 100%, tỷ lệ học sinh tốt nghiệp THPT đạt 97,9%. Năm học 2022 – 2023, trường có 28 lớp, trong đó 13 lớp THCS và 15 lớp THPT, với hơn 1.100 học sinh. Trường đạt danh hiệu tập thể lao động xuất sắc, giải nhất khối thi đua số 2.

Phát biểu tại buổi làm việc, ông Mai Văn Huỳnh – Phó Bí thư Thường trực Tỉnh uỷ Kiên Giang đã biểu dương, ghi nhận những thành tích và gửi lời chúc mừng đến tập thể cán bộ, giáo viên của nhà trường đã có nhiều cố gắng nổ lực phấn đấu vươn lên để hoàn thành tốt nhiệm vụ trong năm học vừa qua.
