Visiting Fellowships

The College proposes to elect a Visiting Fellow or Fellows for the academic year 2023–2024. The College may in addition elect one or more applicants to Robert S Campbell Visiting Fellowships. These Fellowships are open to those intending to undertake research in Law, with special emphasis on Commercial Law, Competition or Antitrust Law, Internal Competition or Antitrust Law, Constitutional Law and Contract Law. In certain circumstances an election in a related legal area may be made.
A Visiting Fellowship is intended to offer an established scholar, either from abroad or from elsewhere in the United Kingdom, an opportunity to pursue his or her own study and research as a member of the College.

Stipendiary Lecturership in History
POSTED: 3 NOVEMBER 2022, CLOSING: 21 NOVEMBER 2022
Applications are invited for a full-time fixed-term Stipendiary Lecturership in History, tenable for nine months from 1 January 2023. The successful candidate will be required to provide eight contact hours of tutorial teaching per week in Full Term in Modern British History or Modern European History.
Applicants should hold a doctorate or be close to completion. The successful candidate will need to show evidence of successful relevant teaching experience at undergraduate level, and must show the ability to provide a high standard of tutorial teaching in History.
The location of the job will be Magdalen College, High Street, Oxford, OX1 4AU.
The start date is 1 January 2023.
Salary range: £28,762 – £30,502 p.a. pro rata.

Food & Beverage Services Assistant

Magdalen College is looking for a proactive and skilled individual to join the Catering Department. Applicants should have proven experience of supervising in a catering environment together with up to date knowledge of food safety legislation. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, active and have a pragmatic approach to teamwork and catering services.
The salary for this post will be £23,587 per annum. Benefits include generous holidays, a contributory pension scheme and use of sports facilities.

Magdalen College is seeking to appoint and able Chef de Partie (Stove) to join our established kitchen team. The kitchen team provide food for the Senior Common Room, Buttery and the Old Kitchen Bar, presenting high quality dishes to meet a wide range of styles and needs. The salary for this role is £26,000 – £28,875 per annum, depending on experience, and the successful candidate will be working 80 hours, split shifts Monday to Friday over a two-week roster.ox
